The CNNM3 antibody targets the Cyclin M3 (CNNM3) protein, a member of the CNNM family of magnesium transporters involved in cellular Mg²⁺ homeostasis. CNNM3. also known as ACDP3. plays a critical role in regulating Mg²⁺ transport across membranes, impacting processes like energy metabolism, cell proliferation, and DNA stability. Structurally, CNNM3 contains a conserved cyclin-like domain and a cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS) pair domain, which facilitate Mg²⁺ binding and transport. Dysregulation of CNNM3 has been linked to metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer, where altered Mg²⁺ levels influence tumor progression or insulin signaling.

Antibodies against CNNM3 are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and function in tissues or cell lines. They enable techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence to assess protein levels in disease models or physiological conditions. Recent studies highlight CNNM3's interaction with PRL phosphatases, suggesting roles in oncogenic signaling pathways. Research using CNNM3 antibodies has also explored its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker, particularly in cancers like colorectal or hepatocellular carcinoma.
