The TWIST1 antibody is a crucial tool for studying the TWIST1 protein, a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor pivotal in embryonic development and cancer progression. TWIST1 regulates cell differentiation, migration, and tissue patterning during embryogenesis, particularly in mesoderm formation and neural crest cell development. In cancer research, TWIST1 is a key driver of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a process enabling tumor cells to acquire invasive properties and metastasize. Its overexpression is linked to aggressive tumor behavior, therapy resistance, and poor prognosis in carcinomas such as breast, prostate, and ovarian cancers.
