**Background of AARS1 Antibodies**

AARS1 (alanyl-tRNA synthetase 1) is a ubiquitously expressed enzyme responsible for catalyzing the attachment of alanine to its cognate tRNA during protein synthesis, a critical step in maintaining translational fidelity. As a member of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (ARS) family, AARS1 ensures the accurate flow of genetic information and has conserved structural domains across species.

Autoantibodies targeting AARS1. such as anti-PL-12. are clinically significant in autoimmune disorders, particularly antisynthetase syndrome (ASS). These autoantibodies are associated with interstitial lung disease, polymyositis, and dermatomyositis, serving as diagnostic biomarkers and potential indicators of disease progression.

In research, AARS1 antibodies are widely used to study gene expression, subcellular localization, and functional roles in cellular processes. Dysregulation of AARS1 is linked to neurological disorders (e.g., Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease) and cancer, driving interest in its therapeutic targeting.
