The STEAP4 (Six-Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of the Prostate 4) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the STEAP4 protein, a member of the STEAP family involved in metal ion transport, redox regulation, and cellular metabolism. STEAP4. also known as TNFAIP15. is a transmembrane protein enriched in endosomes and the plasma membrane. It plays roles in iron/copper homeostasis, insulin signaling, and inflammatory responses. Dysregulation of STEAP4 is linked to metabolic disorders like obesity, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, as well as cancers, including prostate and breast cancer.

Antibodies targeting STEAP4 enable researchers to investigate its expression, localization, and function in tissues or cell lines. They are widely used in techniques such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.
