The SLC2A4RG (Solute Carrier Family 2 Member 4 Regulator) antibody is a tool used to detect the SLC2A4RG protein, a transcription factor encoded by the SLC2A4RG gene. This gene, located on human chromosome 20q13.12. regulates the expression of SLC2A4 (GLUT4), a glucose transporter critical for insulin-mediated glucose uptake in adipose and muscle tissues. SLC2A4RG functions by binding to the promoter region of SLC2A4. enhancing its transcription and modulating cellular glucose metabolism.
