The ANAPC4 antibody targets the Anaphase-Promoting Complex subunit 4 (ANAPC4), a critical component of the Anaphase-Promoting Complex/Cyclosome (APC/C). APC/C is a multi-subunit E3 ubiquitin ligase that regulates cell cycle progression by targeting specific proteins for proteasomal degradation, ensuring timely transitions through key phases like metaphase-to-anaphase and exit from mitosis. ANAPC4. also known as APC4. plays a structural and regulatory role in maintaining APC/C stability and substrate recognition. It facilitates interactions between the core complex and co-activators (CDC20 or CDH1), which are essential for activating APC/C's ubiquitination activity toward substrates such as cyclin B1 and securin.

ANAPC4 antibodies are widely used in research to study cell cycle dynamics, protein degradation mechanisms, and mitotic regulation. They are employed in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to detect ANAPC4 expression, localization, and interactions in various biological contexts. Dysregulation of APC/C function, including ANAPC4 abnormalities, has been linked to cancers, genomic instability, and developmental disorders. Researchers also use these antibodies to explore therapeutic targets, as modulating APC/C activity could influence cell proliferation in diseases like cancer.
