描述	Alicapistat (ABT-957) is an inhibitor of human calpain 1 and calpain 2. Alicapistat (ABT-957) has been investigated in the context of Alzheimer's disease research. The selective inhibition of calpain proteases by Alicapistat (ABT-957) supports its application in studies of neurodegeneration, proteolytic signaling pathways, neuronal injury mechanisms, and calpain-associated cellular processes.
体外活性	方法：将Alicapistat/A-1212805/ABT-957以compound 22表示，并以1:1非对映异构体混合物进行calpain-1生化抑制实验，同时评价其对cathepsin B、K、L和S的选择性。结果：Compound 22抑制calpain-1的Ki为130 nM，并对所评价的cathepsin表现出选择性。[1]
