Eye Contact:DO NOT FORCE EYE OPEN.Immediatelv fush eves with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.Get immediate medical attention.Skin Contact:Carefulv remove contaminated clothing.Immediatelv fush skinwith larae amounts of water DO NOT FORCE SKIN APART.Soak skin in warm soaov water to remove cured product.Get medical attention.Inhalation:Remove person to fresh air.If sians/svmptoms develoo.qet medical attention.If Swallowed:Rinse mouth.Do not induce vomitina.Get medical attention.
DESCRIPTION
Tigergene Ultrabond Tissue Adhesive is an n-butyl cyanoacrylate adhesive used to bond tissue together for veterinanyprocedures (ie.cat declaws,lacerations.abrasions,suturelstaple line sealing,tooth extractions,oral surgeries,anddewclaw removal)Tissue adhesive is slouched as healing occurs.
STORAGE:
Product can be refriaerated or frozen to extend shelf life before ooenina.Store bottle upright on a shelf in a cool dvplace (away from heat).After opening,DO NOT RETURN PRODUCT TO REFRIGERATOR.
NOTE:A white chalky maternal may form on the outside of the bottle.This is normal and does not comoromise theeffectiveness or intearity of the tissue adhesive.
INSTRUCTIONS:
DO NOT USE intemally,on infected and/or deep puncture wounds,or below the epidermal layer.DO NOTUSE in the presence of soaps,cotton products (gauze,cotton tipped applicators,dlothing,towels.etc.),orpolyurethane foam.
DO NOT USE if product is past its expiration date,or appears thicker than water at room temperature.USE ONLY at room temperature.Do not heat.
1.Avoid contact of adhesive with instruments,qloves,and surgical instruments.Polymenzed adhesive on
instruments can be removed by soaking in acetone.
2.Remove botle cap by holoing the bottle uoright in one hand,and twisting the nozzle cao counter-dlockwise withthe other hand.Place flexible applicator tip on the bottle.
3.Ultrabond tissue adhesive mav be used between stainless steel staples,but adhesive on staples may interfere
with staple removal.
4.When finished,remove excess adhesive in tip by holding bottle upright and gentty squeezing a single drop onto apaper towel.Wipe bottle tio with paper towel.Replace bottle cao.Expel adhesive from aoolicator tip by pushingairthroughit rom a standard syringe.
Wound/Surgical Application:
1.Clip hair from site.Wash with anti-bacterial soao.ninse and dry
2.Apply preoperative prep.Allow the prep solution to dry comoletelv prior to surgery.
3.After the surgical procedure is complete,approximate the edqes of the wound/suraical incision.
4.Aoolication site should be free of excess ftuids for best achesion and to avoid an excessive exothemic reaction.
5.Apply Ultrabond adhesive spaningly to the surface of the site to form a thin layer.Thick aoolications will crackand it prematurely.
6.Avoid touching moist surfaces with the apolicator tio.
Declaw Application:
1.Prepare surgical site as usual and amputate dlaws using routine surgical procedure.
2.Remove as much blood as possible from incison ste by bloiting.
3.Approximate the edaes of the wound/surgical site and spaninglv apply Ultrabond achesive to cut surfaces of theskin using the plastic applicator tip provided.One drop for each diait should be sufficient.CAUTION:Do not allowUltrabond adthesive to dip into the cavity.Any residual aohesive below the closure site can cause foreign bodyreactions.Do not dlue hair into site.
4.Hold skin edges together for 5-10 seconds.
5.After comoletina the procedure,check for bleedina and reaoolv a drop of adhesive to the skin edaesifnecessary.Bleeding wil normally stop within 5-10 minutes.Sutures or dressings are usually not needed,butapressure bandage may be applied if warranted.
