Methods Trifloxystrobin was synthesized using phthalide as a main starting material,by the reactions of phthalide ring-opening with bis(trichloromethyl) carbonate to give o-chloromethylbenzoyl chloride,cyaniding to give o-chloromethylbenzoyl cyanide,esterifying with methanol,oximating with methoxyaminium chloride,and condensating with 3-(trifluoromethyl) acetopheneone oxime.
