ATX-II is a specific Na+channel regulator toxin peptide that can be extracted from the venom of Anemone sulcata. The sequence contains 47 amino acids and 3 pairs of disulfide bonds. ATX-II can cause sensitivity to Na+Halothane (HY-B1010), Caffeine, and Ryanodine in cell culture. ATX-II can also induce pulmonary venous arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation.
