Nerofe is a synthetic peptide with 14 amino acids. The peptide sequence contains 13 D-type amino acids. It is derived from a new human Peptide hormone, tumor cell apoptosis factor (TCApF), and has potential anti-tumor activity. When used as a drug, after intravenous administration, Nerofe binds to the T1/ST2 receptor (IL1RL1) and activates caspase 8 and Bcl-2 mediated cell apoptosis. In addition, it also activates the p38 MAPK and JNK signaling cascade in tumor cells.
