CyclotropinB is a cyclic peptide composed of 11 amino acids (disulfide linked to a ring), which is an efficient and selective TrkB inhibitor that does not alter the binding of BDNF. CyclotropinB can non competitively inhibit BDNF induced TrkB activity, with an IC50 value of 0.30 nM. CyclotropinB can also cross the blood-brain barrier and has analgesic and anti anxiety behavioral effects.
