1.羟甲基磺酸钠（简称PN）是一种高分子聚合物，使用时需与SP、M、N、P、AESS、GISS等配合使用。2.它有极强的阴极极化作用，能明显增强低区的光亮度，使用PN时发现亮度不足，可适当增加高位剂（聚二硫物）量。3.PN是酸铜光亮剂中良的高温载体，适合复杂工件电镀。4.在15℃～45℃范围内均能使用，PN不仅适用于酸铜，还可用于无氰镀锌光亮剂。5.电镀镍之重金属络合剂。6.适用广泛，羟甲基磺酸钠能有效络合铜、锌、铅等金属离子。铅-锌矿石的浮洗剂和彩色照片助剂（防污染及褪色）、棉布印花工业。7.不含SO32-，具有除杂，走位，柔软功能。
