The content of asiatic acid in Centella asiatica is relatively low, and it coexists with other structurally similar triterpenic acids (e.g., madecassic acid, betulinic acid), making separation challenging. We employ a combination of advanced technologies including targeted enzymatic conversion, high-speed counter-current chromatography, preparative HPLC. Specifically, we utilize bioconversion or targeted hydrolysistechnology to efficiently and specifically convert the more abundant but precursor-active forms in Centella asiatica—asiaticoside and madecassoside—into *asiatic acid. This enables the large-scale, cost-effective production of asiatic acid with high yield and high purity (up to >99%), reducing costs for our clients.
