Aβ（1-42）是淀粉样斑块的主要成分，在阿尔茨海默病患者大脑的神经元中积累。从阿尔茨海默病患者大脑中分离出的淀粉样肽的生化分析表明，Aβ（1-42）是与老年斑淀粉样蛋白相关的主要种类，而Aβ（1-40）在脑血管淀粉样沉积物中更为丰富。

肽复溶：使用1.0% NH₄OH作为溶剂，随后用缓冲液（如1X PBS）稀释。将1.0% NH₄OH直接加入冻干肽粉中（加入35-40 µl至0.5 mg肽粉，或70-80 µl至1 mg肽粉）。肽在1.0% NH₄OH中不能长期储存，因此重要的是立即将该溶液用1X PBS或其他缓冲液稀释至大约1 mg/ml或更低的浓度。轻轻涡旋混合。

储存：肽在常温下运输。收到后，将冻干粉末储存于-20°C或更低温度。复溶后的肽应分装到多个冷冻管中，并储存于-20°C或更低温度。避免反复冻融。
