Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Personal Protection
Wear appropriate protective gloves and clothing to prevent skin exposure. Use chemical safety goggles.
Respirators
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Always use a NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when necessary.

Fire Fighting Measures

Flash Point
33
Fire Fighting
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam.

Accidental Release Measures

Small spills/leaks
Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container. Use water spray to dilute spill to a non-flammable mixture. Remove all sources of ignition.

Stability and Reactivity

Incompatibilities
Avoid strong oxidizing agents, strong bases, air.
Stability
Stable at normal temperatures and pressures.
Decomposition
Oxides of carbon.
