First Aid Measures

Ingestion
Do NOT induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Get medical aid.
Inhalation
Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid. DO NOT use mouth-to-mouth respiration.
Skin
Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse.
Eyes
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.

Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.

Inhalation of fumes may cause metal fume fever, which is characterized by flu-like symptoms with metallic taste, fever, chills, cough, weakness, chest pain, muscle pain and increased white blood cell count.

Causes eye irritation. May result in corneal injury. May cause conjunctivitis.

Fire Fighting Measures

Aluminum, boron, cesium acetylene carbide, hydrazine, magnesium, phospham, potassium, rubidium acetylene carbide, sodium, titanium, and zirconium. Forms explosive acetylides with acetylene in caustic solutions. Exposure to moist air at > 212F can result in spontaneous combustion.
