Usage
Toothpastes containing 0.5-95% Silicon dioxide xerogel & 0.5-6% Sodium trimetaphosphate are effective tooth polishing agents.

First Aid Measures

Ingestion
Do not induce vomiting - following ingestion and/or prior to gastric evacuation, immediately dilute with 4 to 8 ounces (120 to 240 ml) of milk or water (not to exceed 15 ml/kg in a child).
Inhalation
If symptoms develop, move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Keep person warm and quiet; seek immediate medical attention.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing and wash exposed area thoroughly with soap and water. A physician should examine the area if irritation or pain persists.
Eyes
Irrigate exposed eyes with copious amounts of tepid water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation, pain, swelling, lacrimation, or photophobia persist, the patient should be seen in a health care facility.

Keep in a cool, dry location in a closed container.
Handling
All chemicals should be considered hazardous. Avoid direct physical contact. Use appropriate, approved safety equipment. Untrained individuals should not handle this chemical or its container. Handling should occur in a chemical fume hood.

Hyperventilation may occur secondary to hypocalcemia.
Skin
May cause mild skin irritation. Symptoms may include redness and burning of skin.
Eyes
Can cause eye irritation. Symptoms include stinging, tearing, redness, and swelling of eyes.
Ingestion
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea are common, leading to dehydration.

No special fire hazards are known to be associated with this product.

Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Personal Protection
Chemical splash goggles in compliance with OSHA regulations are advised; however, OSHA regulations also permit other type safety glasses. Wear resistant gloves such as natural rubber. To prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact, wear impervious clothing and boots.
Respirators
If workplace exposure limit(s) of product or any component is exceeded (see exposure guidelines), a NIOSH/MSHA approved air supplied respirator is advised in absence of proper environmental control. OSHA regulations also permit other NIOSH/MSHA respirators (negative pressure type) under specified conditions
