Characteristics and uses: UV absorbent UV-400 is a liquid triazine type UV absorbent, which has the characteristics of easy mixing, low volatility, strong absorbance, and good durability. Suitable for high-temperature baking and harsh conditions, especially for water-based coatings with high performance and durability requirements, solvent coatings, powder coatings, and coating systems specifically designed for amine catalyzed or metal catalyzed curing, without reacting with other components of the system.
The use of UV absorbers UV-400 in combination with UV-292 or UV-123 significantly improves efficiency. The synergistic effect of the combination has a good inhibitory effect on the gloss reduction, cracking, bubble delamination, and discoloration of the varnish. The general dosage is 1-3%.
