Usage:
1. Widely used in the synthesis of trifluoroformates.
2. Synthesis of trifluoromethanesulfonate and trifluoromethanesulfonamide. Aldoxime dehydration to nitrile. Preparation of epoxides from hydroperoxide. A synthesis of cyclobutanone, allenes and acetylenes.
3.Tf2O is a very widely used reagent in organic synthesis. Since trifluoromethyl sulfonate (Triflates) is a very good leaving group, the reaction activity can be greatly enhanced after the organic substrate is converted into corresponding Triflates by Tf2O treatment, and it is easy to achieve the conversion to other organic compounds.
