Used as a mordant, fire retardant and weight enhancer for textiles, as well as in the manufacturing of ceramics, glass, and tin plating
This product is the main salt for alkaline tin plating. It forms a complex salt with sodium hydroxide and dissolves in the tin plating solution. When the solution is energized, tin is contained in the anionic complex ions, which are directly reduced to the alkaline tin plating solution on the anode. The general dosage is 75-90kg/L, and it can also be used as an auxiliary main salt for cyanide plating of copper tin alloys and pyrophosphate, stannate, and copper tin alloys. This product is used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry to precipitate pigments, ceramics, glass, and fire-resistant fabrics.

Production methods
Add 446kg of tin (99.5%), 320kg of caustic soda (90%), and 105 kg of sodium nitrate (95%) to the reaction pot in sequence, heat to 300 ℃, and stop heating when the temperature rises to 800 ℃. Continue stirring until the material ignites. After 0.5 hours of ignition, cool it down and remove from the pot. Dissolve the crude product in water, remove lead with sodium sulfide, and remove iron with hydrogen peroxide. Usually, vacuum filtration, concentration, centrifugal dehydration, drying, and crushing are carried out to obtain finished products.
