Procaine (Novocaine, Vitamin H3, Duracaine, Spinocaine) is a benzoic acid compound with local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic activity, used as a local anesthetic. It has low toxicity, rapid and safe action. It is suitable for local anesthesia and is used in eye, ear, nose, tooth and other surgeries, infiltration anesthesia, transmission anesthesia and blockade therapy. This product is also used in the production of procaine penicillin.
