Polyquaternium-10 is a chemical that can be used in skin care to keep skin moisturised, prevent frost cracks, and leave skin smooth and supple. Used on hair, it has a strong affinity, repairs split ends, and forms a transparent, continuous film on the hair. Provides excellent moisturizing properties, improves damaged hair, applies to the skin, has an excellent after-feel, improves the skin's ability to resist UV rays, and has excellent moisturizing and moisturizing properties.
Polyquaternium-10 is formed by the reaction of hydroxyethyl cellulose and cationic etherifying agent. Cationic cellulose has excellent conditioning, anti-static, repair damaged hair, make hair soft, smooth and elastic, in addition, it can also reduce the irritation of detergent to the skin.
It is a racemate consisting of equimolar amounts of (R)- and (S)-gambutrol under the IUPAC name (RS)-1-(4-chlorophenoxy)-1-imidazol-1-yl-3,3-dimethylbutyl-2-ketone and is a topically administered antifungal agent for the treatment of fungal skin infections in humans. It may be included in over-the-counter anti-dandruff shampoo preparations and skin treatment compositions to treat dandruff and eczema where the cause is a fungal infection.
