What is Pinolenic Acid?
Pinolenic acid as a new source of phyto‐polyunsaturated fatty acid of which little is known.
Pinolenic acid is a type of terpine acid extracted from pine nut oil. In 1997, Norwegian scientists first announced that there is an unsaturated fatty acid in pine seeds, which is different from the unsaturated fatty acids in all plants on the earth, and only exists in pine seed oil, which can not only reduce cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), increase high density lipoprotein (HDL), but also inhibit and eliminate the adverse effects of other unsaturated fatty acids on the body's Chemicalbook.
Benefits
1). Pinolenic acid helps lower LDL cholesterol levels in the blood. The study found that pinolenic acid causes the liver to take up and metabolize more LDL cholesterol from the blood;
2). It helps regulate blood sugar levels and thus reduce diabetes risk;
3). It helps maintain a healthy weight;
4). It contains brain-boosting omega-3 fatty acids, which may help slow cognitive decline and reduce the risk of dementia and depressive symptoms.
