Phenylalanine (symbol Phe or F) is an α-amino acid.It can be viewed as a benzyl group substituted for the methyl group of alanine, or a phenyl group in place of a terminal hydrogen of alanine. Application
Phenylalanine is an aromatic amino acid with physiological activity. It is one of the essential amino acids that the human body cannot synthesize naturally by itself. It is an important component of compound amino acid infusion; used in medicine, it is amino acids such as phenylalanine and sarcolysin formate.
