P-toluene sulfonic acid (chemical formula: p-CH3C6H4SO3H, also written TsOH) is a non-oxidizing organic acid that is one million times more acidic than benzoic acid. White needle or powder crystal, easily deliquescent, soluble in water, alcohol and other polar solvents. Will make paper, wood and other dehydration occurs carbonization. The most common is p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate TsOH·H2O.
