Description:
Acetyl castor oil methyl ester is colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid, slightly special smell. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, chloroform, petroleum ether and grease. The freezing point is lower than -40℃. Ricinoleic acid is present in castor oil in the form of Chemicalbook glycerides (about 90% content). In the gum base, it has the cold-resistant plasticity effect, which can improve the shortcomings of the main material of the glue base such as polyvinyl acetate, which is brittle, hard and not easy to soften at low temperature.
Application:
Plasticizer for plastic film used in food packaging, rubber softener. It is also used as a food additive as a chewing gum substrate.
