Product Introduction
Description:Talc is a magnesium rich layered hydrated silicate mineral. Monocline system, usually in the form of leaf, scale, granular, fibrous aggregates or dense blocks. The color is white, light green, light gray, light yellow, light brown or pink. Sometimes it is dyed green, black or dark gray by impurities. Glass luster or grease luster, cleavage is pearl luster. The hardness is 1~1.5, which is the mineral with the lowest hardness. The official density is 2 Chemicalbook. 7~2.8g/cm3. It has a greasy feeling and lubricity, and emits white fluorescence under ultraviolet radiation. It has high electrical insulation and thermal insulation, and the fire resistance is up to 1490~1510 ℃. It is lipophilic, hydrophobic and adsorptive, insoluble in water, and chemically stable. Pure talc usually does not react with strong acids and bases. It is formed from magnesium rich basic rock carbonate through hydrothermal metasomatism and ultrabasic rock alteration.
Usage:Talc is used in the chemical industry as the filler of plastics, rubber, coatings, printing ink, oil color, cosmetics and the carrier of fertilizer, pesticide and medicine. It is also widely used in metallurgy, paper making, military industry, linoleum, cable, ceramics, textile, food, building materials, craft carving and other sectors.
