Product Introduction:
Glycidyl methacrylate is a colorless transparent liquid that is insoluble in water and almost soluble in all organic solvents, causing irritation to the skin and mucous membranes. Avoid contact with acids, oxides, ultraviolet radiation, and free radical initiators. Due to the presence of both carbon carbon double bonds and epoxy groups in their molecules, they can undergo both free radical and ionic reactions. Therefore, it has high reactivity and is an important fine chemical raw material.
Main uses:
⑴. Mainly used in powder coatings, but also as adhesives for thermosetting coatings, fiber treatment agents, adhesives, antistatic agents, vinyl chloride stabilizers, rubber and resin modifiers, ion exchange resins, and printing inks.
⑵. Used as a functional monomer for polymerization reactions. It is mainly used in the manufacture of acrylic powder coatings, as a soft monomer for copolymerization with hard monomers such as methyl methacrylate and styrene. It can adjust the glass transition temperature and flexibility, and improve the gloss, adhesion, and weather resistance of the coating film. It is also used in the manufacture of acrylic acid emulsions and non woven fabrics. As a functional monomer, it can be used to manufacture photosensitive resins, ion exchange resins, chelating resins, medical selective filtration membranes, dental materials, anticoagulants, insoluble adsorbents, etc. It is also used to modify polyolefin resins, rubber, and synthetic fibers.
⑶ Due to the presence of both carbon carbon double bonds and epoxy groups in its molecules, it is widely used in the synthesis and modification of polymer materials. Used as an active diluent for epoxy resins, a stabilizer for vinyl chloride, a modifier for rubber and resins, an ion exchange resin, and an adhesive for printing inks. It is also used in powder coatings, thermosetting coatings, fiber treatment agents, adhesives, antistatic agents, and other aspects. In addition, GMA has also significantly improved the adhesion, water resistance, and solvent resistance of adhesives and nonwoven coatings.
⑷. In electronics, it is used for photoresist films, electronic wires, protective films, and far infrared phase X-ray protective films. In terms of functional polymers, it is used for ion exchange resins, chelating resins, etc. In medical materials, it is used for anti blood coagulation materials, dental materials, etc.
