I. Product Introduction
Brominated epoxy resin is a novel type of epoxy resin developed in recent years. It not only possesses the excellent electrical insulation and adhesive properties of general epoxy resins but also exhibits superior self-flame retardancy. It is widely used in various flame-retardant electronic components and as a thermosetting resin (such as epoxy resin, phenolic resin, unsaturated polyester, etc.) for manufacturing printed circuit boards and encapsulating electronic devices. It is suitable for flame-retardant engineering plastics such as ABS, HIPS, PBT, and PA. ABS flame-retarded with brominated epoxy resin demonstrates excellent thermal stability, heat aging resistance, and processing performance. It is less prone to blooming and produces minimal corrosive gases during thermal decomposition or combustion. Particularly, it exhibits outstanding UV resistance, enabling this flame-retardant ABS to meet the requirements for manufacturing computer and printer casings.

III. Application Scope
Brominated epoxy resins are typically classified into low, medium, and high molecular weight types. Low molecular weight resins are suitable for flame-retarding ABS and HIPS, while high molecular weight resins are ideal for ABS/PC blends, PBT, and Nylon 6, 66.
Brominated epoxy resins are also categorized into EP type and EC type based on their end groups. Compared to EC type, EP type offers better light resistance but slightly lower bromine content. In contrast, ABS and HIPS flame-retarded with EC type exhibit superior impact strength.
With a molecular weight range of 700–45,000, different molecular weights of resins influence the physical properties, heat resistance, and impact resistance of flame-retardant plastics. Therefore, appropriate molecular weights can be selected based on specific flame-retardant requirements.
1200–4000 EC type: Suitable for ABS and PP resins.
8000–25000 EP type: Suitable for PBT and PET.
15000–50000 EC type: Suitable for Nylon 6, 66.

The product is packaged in plastic-coated woven bags with an inner plastic liner for sealing. The net weight is 25 KG or packaged according to customer requirements.
