Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is also known as diammonium phosphate (DAP), the molecular formula is (NH4)2HPO4, easily soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Generally, secondary ammonia neutralization is used on the basis of primary ammonia neutralization, so that the neutralization degree of the slurry is increased to about 1.70, and the neutralization degree of the finished product is about 1.50. The granulation process is used for spraying granulation, and generally only granular products are produced.
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is a high-concentration quick-acting fertilizer, suitable for a variety of crops and soils, especially for ammonium philositous phosphorus crops, as a base fertilizer or topdressing can be applied, should be deep.
Chemical property
1.Ph (pH)
1% diammonium hydrogen phosphate aqueous solution is weakly basic, pH 8.
2.Salvage
Ammonium hydrogen phosphate is heated to 155℃ decomposition, but at room temperature it is also possible to gradually
decompose and release ammonia, and form ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, chemical equation:
(NH4)2HPO4=NH3↑+NH4H2PO4; Ammonium metaphosphate is decomposed to: (NH4)2HPO4=NH3↑+H2O↑+NH4PO3.
3.React with acid
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate can react with acids, such as hydrochloric acid, with the chemical equation:
(NH4)2HPO4+HCl=NH4H2PO4+NH4Cl.
4.Alkali reaction
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate can react with a base, such as ammonia monohydrate, with the chemical equation:
(NH4)2HPO4+NH3·H2O=(NH4)3PO4+H2O
5.Salt reaction
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate can produce complex decomposition reaction with some metal salts. For example, when
gravimetry is used to determine the magnesium content of iron ore, it is used to precipitate magnesium chloride into
ammonium magnesium phosphate in an ammoniacal solution. Reaction equation:
MgCl2+(NH4)2HPO4+NH3·H2O+5H2O=MgNH4PO4·6H2O↓+2NH4Cl.
6.Esterification reaction
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate can be esterified with primary alcohol (R-CH2OH) under heating conditions to produce
phosphate ester.
