Cobalt isooctanoate, also known as cobalt 2-ethylhexanoate, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C16H30CoO4. It is mainly used as a drying agent for paints and inks, a curing accelerator for unsaturated polyester resin, a stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride, a polymerization catalyst, etc.
It has excellent storage stability, small smell and good drying effect. It can reduce the yellowness of the paint film and improve the gloss when used in light color coatings. It is an upgraded product of cobalt naphthenate.
