Production method

1. Obtained by esterification of lactic acid and n-butanol. The esterification reaction is carried out in the presence of sulfuric acid, and the finished product is obtained by neutralization and vacuum distillation after the reaction. Esterification can also be carried out in benzene or toluene solvents. The content of butyl lactate in industrial products is ≥95%. Raw material consumption quota: lactic acid (80%) 1000kg/t, butanol 650kg/t.

Use

Used as solvent for cellulose nitrate paint, printing inks, natural and synthetic resins, etc. Also used in dry cleaning liquid, binder, anti-crust agent and spices. High boiling point solvent, used in natural resin, synthetic resin, paint, printing ink. Cosmetics solvent. It is mainly used as the main solvent of cosmetics such as nail polish. It has excellent solubility to nitrocellulose and other skin film forming agents, and it is usually necessary to add co-solvents to adjust the viscosity and volatilization rate.
