Brivaracetam NEW

Introduction：

On February 19, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Brivaracetam for adjunctive treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients aged 16 and above. Brivaracetam has a similar chemical structure and mechanism of action as the previous generation drug, Eslicarbazepine, and is the first antiepileptic medication approved by the FDA for the treatment of partial-onset seizures since 2013.

Indication：

Brivaracetam is a synaptic vesicle protein 2A ligand with high selectivity and affinity. It has been approved for adjunctive treatment of partial onset seizures in adults and adolescents aged 16 and above, with or without secondary generalized seizures.
