Rosuvastatin calcium, an organic compound with the formula C44H54CaF2N6O12S2, is A selective 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor that reduces the synthesis and storage of cholesterol in liver cells by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase. This lowers total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in the blood

Application&Function

It is suitable for adjuvant treatment of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (type a, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed lipoblood disorder (type b) when diet or exercise therapy is not ideal.

This product reduces elevated LDL-cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides and ApoB, and increases HDL-cholesterol.
It is also recommended for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and can be used alone or in conjunction with dieting or other lipid-lowering measures such as LDL removal
