4-Formylbenzoic Acid Methyl Ester is a benzoic acid derivative with antioxidant activity.
Methyl 4-formylbenzoate is used in the preparation of dimethyl terephthalate. It is also used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient intermediate and fluorescent brightener intermediate.
