Chondroitin sulfate A, also known as 4-chondroitin sulfate, is an acidic mucopolysaccharide composed of (1→4) -O-β-D-glucopyranuronic acid and (1→3) -2-n-acetylamino-2-deoxy-4-o-sulfate-β-d-galactopyranose repeat units. It is one of the components of connective tissue matrix and a cogroup of glycoprotein.
Chondroitin sulfate A changes with age in organisms, from birth to old age, its content gradually decreases, while Chondroitin sulfate C increases.
CSA can enhance the activity of lipase, decompose the triglycerides in chylomicrons into fatty acids, reduce and clarify the chylomicrons in the blood, and also has anticoagulation and antithrombotic effects.
Specific rotation: D-28 to -32°
Storage conditions :2-8°C
Solubility :H2O: 0.1g /mL, slightly hazy, slightly yellow
use
It is used to treat coronary arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterin, angina pectoris, myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction and other diseases
