Dodecyldimethylamine N-oxide is a tertiary amine oxide resulting from the formal oxidation of the amino group of dodecyldimethylamine. It has a role as a plant metabolite and a detergent. It derives from a hydride of a dodecane.
Function:
1). This product is mainly used for tableware detergents and industrial liquid bleaches, which have the effect of bubble stabilization, and can improve the consistency of thickener and the overall stability of the product.
2). It is used as a foam promoter, conditioner, thickener and antistatic agent for shampoo, liquid detergent and foam bath. It is also a raw material for the synthesis of amphoteric surfactants.
3). LDAO is a kind of approximately 1 mM(CMC) non-variable zwitteronic scale agent used to dissolve proteins and study the configuration of proteins and interactions between molecules.
