Chemical Properties White, crystalline powder. Soluble in chloroform and aromatic hydrocarbons; insoluble in water.
Uses Acaricide. Ovicide on deciduous fruits, citrus, cotton and other crops.
Definition ChEBI: A sulfone that is diphenylsulfone in which one of the phenyl groups is substituted by chlorine at position 4, while the other is substituted by a chlorine at positions 2, 4, and 5.
Safety Profile Moderately toxic by ingestion. Mildly toxic by slun contact. An experimental teratogen. Used to control worms in crops. When heated to decomposition it emits highly toxic fumes of Cland SOx.
