Name | 7,3′,4′-Tri-O-methyleriodictyol |
Description | 7,3′,4′-Tri-O-methyleriodictyol (7,3;,4;-Tri-O-methyleriodictyol) is an isolate from the methanolic extract of Pogostemon cablin with antimicrobial, antioxidant, antitumor, and antiprotozoal activities, and it inhibits Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection as well as SOS-inducing activity. |
In vitro | 7,3′,4′-Tri-O-methyleriodictyol, a methanol extract from Pogostemon cablin, showed an inhibitory effect on the expression of the umu gene of the SOS response in Salmonella typhimurium TA1535/pSK1002 in response to the mutagen 2-(2-furanyl)-3-(5-nitro-2-furanyl) acrylamide (furanyl furanamide), showing a weak inhibitory effect (17%) at a concentration of 0.6 μmol/mL and inhibited the SOS-inducing activity of Trp-P-1 by 63% at a concentration of 0.3 μmol/mL.
