Effects:
4-Hexylresorcinol (4-HR) is a new type of antioxidant that can inhibit browning, effectively scavenging harmful free radicals from the skin, fighting aging and free radical-induced wrinkles, etc. It is also the strongest tyrosinase inhibitor found so far, with superb whitening efficacy: in vitro experiments have also proved that the whitening effect is 5 times stronger than that of Tretinoin, and 500 times stronger than that of Arbutin, and it can potently inhibit melanin synthesis.
It can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase and block the production of melanin. In addition, this ingredient also has the effect of preventing UVA, UVB damage, and anti-wrinkle. In vivo experiments have confirmed that 0.5% hexyl resorcinol has the same whitening effect as 2% hydroquinone in 8 weeks. It is a whitening weapon.
4-Hexylresorcinol is a common food additive with antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Application:
Clarins uses this ingredient in its whitening products, adding 0.5%. There are also ROC products with 1% Hexyl Resorcinol added to them products for blemishes and wrinkles.
