These derivatives display potential anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritis effects. 2-Thiopheneacetyl chloride is also used in the synthesis of Nitrocefin (N493815), a chromogenic substrate that changes colour in the presence of β-lactamases and penicillin-binding proteins. |
