It is synthesized by reacting phosphorus oxychloride with 2,3-dichloroacetophenone in a solvent such as dioxane or acetonitrile. The final product is purified by means of vacuum distillation and recrystallization from diethyl ether, hexane, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. |
