Application
Used as polymerization catalyst, reducing agent, jet engine fuel, and also used in the synthesis of medicines. Aldehydes, ketones, acids, acid anhydrides, esters, lactones, quinones, acid chlorides, etc. can be reduced to alcohols, nitriles can be reduced to Chemicalbook primary amines, and halogenated hydrocarbons can be reduced to hydrocarbons. However, it is generally not possible to hydrogenate carbon-carbon double bonds. Uses: a very strong reducing agent. It is widely used in medicine, perfume, pesticide and other fine organic synthesis.
