The antipyretic effect of finacetin is stronger than analgesic effect. The efficacy intensity is similar to that of aspirin, the effect is slow and lasting, and the toxicity is low. The study shows that this product and its metabolite paracetamol have antipyretic effect. Chemicalbook showed significant antipyretic activity when phenacetin was prevented from converting to paracetamol by enzyme inhibitors. Therefore, the antipyretic effect of the raw material was not only caused by its active product, acetaminophen.
