Ethyl butyrate is colorless and transparent, with pineapple aroma. It is soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents. The solubility in water is 0.49% (weight) at 20 ℃.
Ethyl butyrate application:
Ethyl butyrate is suitable for special rose flavor and floral flavor base (cosmetic), but it should be used in small quantities. It can also be used as a masking agent for bad smell of industrial products. It is mainly used for food flavors, such as pineapple, banana, apple, cherry, peach, apricot, grape, rum, cream, cheese caramel, walnut, berry and so on.
