Sodium Hexametaphosphate/SHMP
White powdery, strong hygroscopicity.After hygroscopic, it becomes sticky. It is easy to be wet in air and soluble in water. The solubility in water is higher, but the dissolution rate is slower. The aqueous solution is acidic. Readily hydrolyzed or formed into phosphite. To some metal ions (calcium, magnesium) have the ability to form or dissolve complex, it can be used to soften water, and lead, silver, barium salt can also form complex.
