NAPHTHENIC ACID brief introduction:
Dark brown oily liquid. After refining, it is a transparent light yellow or orange liquid with special odor. Almost insoluble in water, but soluble in petroleum ether, ethanol, benzene and hydrocarbons.
NAPHTHENIC ACID purpose:
NAPHTHENIC ACID is mainly used for making naphthenic acid salts. Its sodium salts are cheap emulsifiers, agricultural promoters and detergents for textile industry; lead, manganese, cobalt, iron and calcium salts are desiccants for printing inks and coatings; copper and mercury salts are used as wood preservatives, pesticides and bactericides; aluminum salts are used as lubricating grease, napalm and flares. Its nickel, cobalt and molybdenum salts can be used as organic synthesis catalysts and dryers. Some salts can also be used as additives for special oil products. The high carbon aliphatic esters of naphthenic acid are suitable for precision machinery oil, such as telephones, clocks and meters. It can also be used as synthetic detergent, insecticide, rubber accelerator and solvent.
NAPHTHENIC ACID is used as raw material for naphthenate production and coating desiccant, as well as anti-corrosion of wood and cable.
