Organic Synthesis. 1-Chloroethyl chloroformate is a kind of high-efficiency and mild debenzylation protecting group reagent, especially for compounds containing easily reduced functional groups, the use of this reagent will not affect other functional groups in the molecule; it is also used to remove the chemicalbook alkyl group on the tertiary amine. The obtained carbamate is heated in methanol to remove the formate group to obtain a high yield of secondary amines; used in cefpodoxime, candesartan cilexetil, cefotiam, and baxicillin for pharmaceutical synthesis , Ampixicon, etc.
