Production method
The reaction of 1, 2-propylene oxide with n-butanol was carried out in the presence of catalyst. The finished product isobtained by crude distillation and rectification.
Use
Mainly used as cleaning agent. Its performance is similar to ethylene glycol butyl ether, but the odor toxicity is lower than theformer, and can be used instead of ethylene glycol butyl ether. The rapid volatilization and excellent solubility of organicstains make it an excellent solvent for household and industrial cleaners, fat removers, metal cleaners, hard surface cleaners,glass cleaners, and general purpose cleaners.
